Little Shop of Horrors Cast PDF Print
Written by Samantha Fields

little_shop_of_horrors.jpgHAODS are very excited about their next production Little Shop of Horrors which will be directed by Lloyd White. After some tense auditions where some truly remarkable performances were seen, the following cast has been named:

Seymour - James Gwynne Audrey - Sally Rowlandson Ronettes - Claire Wallis, Karen Hemmingway and Daisy O'Halloran Orin - Tim Harling Audrey II - tbc Mushnik - tbc Man - Ioan Havard, Woman - Kate Massey

Everybody put in a huge amount of work for the auditions, and the production team were very pleased with the high standard - although it did of course make their jobs exceedingly difficult! Lloyd said that he had to make "really tough decisions" and that he was "truly sorry for those that did not get cast. I have rarely known such tight decisions..." Alan Lineham, the MD for this production, said of the auditions that they were "nearer to a professional audition than an amateur production" and that he is "confident that this dynamic will carry through to the rehearsals and the performances."

Rehearsals will be starting soon and the cast are looking forward to getting to grips with this challenging and thoroughly entertaining musical. But as we know, the cast are not the only people that make a production work - the team will be looking for people to help out backstage and front of house, and we hope that those who are not on stage but who want to be part of this production, will come forward and volunteer. Little Shop of Horrors is an iconic musical and its popularity and cult status will hopefully encourage people to forget the economy and come out for a really good evening's entertainment. It is running at the Kenton from the 15th to the 19th November.
