Set in the idyllic
gardens of Peel Fold, HAODS latest Shakespearian offering saw the
flamboyant Petruchio winning the unruly Katherina's hand in
marriage. Will his unconventional methods succeed in curing her temper and
scolding tongue? Shakespeare explores the sexual politics of marriage in one of
his earliest and most controversial comedies.

Peel Fold is a charming character house on the banks of
the River Thames, close to Marsh lock. This beautiful setting was once
home to Britsh comedienne Beatrice Lilly and between 16th - 19th July,
it was the home to the cast of The Taming of the Shrew.
Gates opened from 6:30pm when the public to came along with a picnic and
soak up the atmosphere before the show. A licensed bar was
available, as well as Tea & Coffee.
